Start Your Engines…Cadillac is Returning to Racing!

January 19th, 2011 by

Finally! And it only took the CTS-V coupe to get us there!  The Sports Car Club of America’s World Challenge is the race venue that Cadillac will return to with a track version of the CTS-V coupe.

The race car is a modified version of the street-legal 556-horsepower CTS-V coupe that went on sale in late 2010.

The car’s first on-track tests will come later this month at Sebring International Raceway in Florida and its racing debut will be March 25-27 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O’Connell will drive the CTS-V coupe race car. [Source: USA Today]

A version of the car can be seen at the Detroit Auto Show, but in case you can’t make it, here are some more photos!

We are thrilled that Cadillac is back in the racing game and will definitely be following it closely.
